Sounds positively schizophrenic. You’re not alone! Just try to focus on who your story is about (this time) and tell the others to wait their turn. 🙂

I’m afraid I’m perilously lost this time. Not sure what to do about it. A whole new book/series/cast/slant has muscled its way into my mind, and I can’t shake it; meanwhile, screeching halt everywhere else. Bah!

Would it help you to record audio notes when they come to mind? Don’t use your typing energies, but when OtherNovel pops up, pause, and record the insight so you don’t forget it. Or do you think that would be enough attention to open the floodgates and deluge your current endeavors?

I hit a bit of Zen last night, and went back and did a lot of reading of what I’ve written in AGC. It’s funny–it’s an edit, and it feels like I’m writing it for the first time sometimes. I realized it’s really not as bad as I thought it was (the last stuff I wrote) and is actually… well, good. I just need to make some big decisions and keep moving on.
The other project is totally YA, inspired by my love of SF/F and a deep desire to write a heroine for girls that could kick Harry Potter’s arse. 🙂

And yes, a recorder would be great–just have to save up for one!
