I now introduce to you, officially, Sylvan DeLoire, bastard nephew of Queen Maelys, assassin, and ladykiller (figuratively, and occasionally literally). And, by way of a strange little old woman, the Aldersgate, too. Sylvan is one of my favorite characters to write, not in the least because he’s so unapologetically selfish. I suppose writing without filters is enjoyable. And I hope that translates back to you, too. 🙂
Alderpod #10 is ready to roll, too, so look for that late this week!
Alderpod #9 – Chapter Seven: Sylvan DeLoire

Your portrayal of these two men, vocally, is truly amazing. This chapter, on the heels of Emery’s last chapter, has given the novel an eerie depth, a deep shadow, sharpening everything that has come before this point. Great work. Really. And the musical theme for DeLoire is fantastic!
I’m so happy to be a part of this, even only as a reader/listener, but more truly, a fan. Thank you!

@Jenn Thanks, Jenn. It means more than you know! I put a lot of thought into these two fellows, and I’m glad the darker shades are coming through.
